Global Mind Shift

So one of the things they have really encouraged us to do in this program is to do what I call thinking outside of the box. In other words expand our horizons quit thinking the world revolves around only us etc etc etc. This is sometimes a rather hard thing do to based on our good ole American culture where we promote self-confidence and stuff. Maybe I'll post soon on my views of self -confidence and its relation to our spiritual calling but that will come later. Anyway, there is this really cool website that we have gotten a little exposure to in class and I thought some of you all might be interested. There is a link on this sidebar thing I finally figured out and got to work but its global-mindshift.org I'm not saying I agree with everything on there or that it is always my view point buts its interesting to think about especially in this day in age how everything is connected and I think sometimes we take our mainstream lifes for granted. So anyway check it out and let me know what you think.

Alright you all have convinced me....

Ok well you all have convinced me to get back on here; Like I was on here much at all but....So I guess I can start my telling you how awesome it is to not be working in public accounting anymore!!!! IT JUST IS!!!! It is so nice in fact that I've gone and gotten me a job as a receptionist at H&R Block during the tax season so I can work till 8 and still feel somewhat like I'm working at EY still. Really its just to support this lifestyle of going back to grad school I've chosen; but wow has it been interesting just the past two days I've been there. Its funny because these tax outfits like this just employ random people off the streets (I'll probably get fired for saying that) train them to put stuff in the computer and then they help America's smart non tax types do their taxes. Its kind of funny because not to brag but I know more about taxes than about half of the actual tax professionals. Oh well its a glorified job that pays me $7.20 an hour to read for school and answer the phone every once in a while and to catch up on my West Texas white trash stories that I haven't heard in about 10 years (probably for sure getting fired now but might as well start out with a bang!!!!)
