I'm sure I could go on and on telling you how special my friends made my birthday. I haven't even begun to mention everything the gifts the cake, etc.
I am so blessed. I have lived in Plainview, Searcy, Memphis, Austin, CBH (Las Vegas, NM), and Abilene and at each stop have made life long friends that always make special events super special and that give me a shoulder to cry on during those hard times.
There are those friends that you remember the good times and have good stories but may never see them again and then there are those friends you may not talk to in over a year or years and you can pick right up where you left off. I have many of both and many of all inbetween those extremes.
And then there are those friends that are there for you. Through thick and thin. Through the fun times and the frustrating times. Through the trials and tribulations. Through the days you don't know if you are going to make it and the days that are so great they should never end. The friends that give you what you need whether it is what you want or not because they love you. I have alot of those friends too. And they have been there through this entire program and especially this stressful spring semester.
I am so blessed. It often makes me sad that I can't share some of my friends with my clients who often have non existent support systems or friends that turn away when they need them. I have had some of those experiences as well and it hurts. Bad. It adds to the hurt and frustration and stress you already have.
So I am reminded how blessed I am.
And to all of you friends out there - old, new, long time, shortime but seems like I've know you forever, all of you Thankyou for being there. I am so proud to call you Friend!!!
